      Tried both the Seoul 1988 Cream: Snail Mucin 93% + Rice and the Seoul 1988 Essence: Snail Mucin 97% + Rice

      Skin type: dry, not sensitive

      Packaging on both is amazing; easy to use and dose the product, sturdy enough to travel with. You get quite a lot of product.

      The essence has a slightly slimey consistency and is sticky, but not as much as as other snail products I've tried. A little goes a long way and it spreads smoothly on my skin. It tends to linger and takes a while to be absorbed. Leaves skin sticky even after absorption.

      The cream is even less slimey and sticky than the essence. When spread the product immediately becomes somewhat thin/watery. Again, little goes a long way. Absorbs much faster than the essence and is very light.

      Neither product has a strong smell. I've experienced no issues with layering makeup overtop of either.

      For someone with dry skin, these products do not provide enough moisture in their respective skincare steps for me to consider using only these products. I need to combine these with other (more) moisturizing products to achieve the comfortable hydrated skin feel I like. Therefore, I use them when I want something a little extra or when I want to "touch up" during the day (when I work from home and am not wearing make-up).

    • This product is supposed to be alcohol-free, but I am seeing Cetearyl / Cetyl Alcohol, and such on the ingredient list.. Why?
