Why you should not wash your face under the shower!
Instead...
In the evening, cleanse your face directly after you get home with an oil-based cleanser to remove all the makeup, but as well as fine dust and excess sebum. Most Korean oil-based cleansers are very gentle, so you don't have to worry that it will overdo, and is drying your skin. Our Enature - Moringa Cleansing Balm is an excellent example of an oil-based cleanser which easily dissolves dirt, makeup and oils, and yet hydrating thanks to Moringa seed and Birch juice.
Use a water based cleanser in the morning and evening to remove excess dirt and residues to be certain that your skin is clean and fresh before starting your skincare. Water based cleansers could be gel type, cream type, foam type, use one that fits your skin type. And continue with your favourite toner afterwards prevents your skin to loose its moisture, which otherwise might feel tight and irritated.
Oops...
However this is not recommended, but it is probably oft-recurring and therefore very forgivable. For all the oops moments when you are just too tired and / or when you forgot to cleanse your face before stepping in the shower. - Once under the shower, instead of reaching out to the shampoo or shower gel first, grab your facial cleanser and start to work on that clean canvas. This way, you at least get to clean your face before the dirt and impurities soaks into your opened up pores.
